The 1st Firm and Industry Dynamics Workshop

The 1st Firm and Industry Dynamics Workshop launched the workshop series that later became associated with FIPA. Hosted by The University of Hong Kong in June 2023 and sponsored by the HKU Business School’s Institute of China Economy, the workshop brought together leading scholars to discuss frontier research on firm heterogeneity, multi-product firms, economic shocks, trade, quality, and policy. The programme featured keynote lectures by Mark Roberts and Eric Verhoogen, along with sessions on markup estimation, productivity and quality, tariffs, agglomeration spillovers, entrepreneurship, and tax policy.
